Chamber Lets Elected Officials Know What’s Important in Havasu Via 2010 Agenda
The Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce has released its 2010 Legislative Agenda. The agenda includes the topics of importance to business and states which legislation the Chamber will support during the coming year. Additional items will be added as needed throughout 2010.
The agenda was developed by the Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee, under the direction of Committee Chairman Carl Flusché and Chamber President/CEO Lisa Krueger. The Committee worked on the agenda for several months and items within address local, state and federal issues. The Chamber’s Board of Directors approved the agenda at its December meeting.
Copies of the agenda will be distributed to city council, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, District 3 state representatives, Governor Jan Brewer and also to the Speaker of the House and Senate President. Additional copies will be distributed to Senator’s McCain and Kyl, and Congressman Trent Franks.

HAVASU LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
The Havasu Leadership Development program helped me learn how to be a better leader. I can now ask for help and not take all tasks on myself. I learned the importance of working as a team. I would like to attend more City Council meetings to become more involved in the community and make my voice heard on issues that I feel are important. I already joined a few committees in our community. This program was a great learning experience.
